Lord Avebury, Vice-Chairman of The Parliamentary Human Rights Group
Cordially invites you to a seminar to mark Bahrain’s Martyrs Day
Deconstructing British-backed tribal dictatorship
Despite all indications and symptoms of un-reformable regime that has adopted “systematic torture” to subdue opponenst, UK has continued its unequivocal support to Alkhalifa of Bahrain. Calls to change this policy, the latest of which has come from the 84-page report titled “The Blood of People Who Don’t Cooperate” have fallen on deaf ears in Whitehall. It is time that UK disengaged from this losing situation and supported democratic transformation.
