Third Gulf Research Meeting, University of Cambridge,
11-14 July 2012 The Gulf Research Meeting is organized by the Gulf Research Centre Cambridge with the aim to provide an academic environment to foster Gulf studies and to encourage scholarly and academic exchange among those working on or interested in the developments that are defining the Gulf region and their constituent societies. All persons working on the Gulf region are encouraged to apply. We especially encourage young scholars to participate. The meeting last July brought together over 400 scholars, specialists and students. The Call for Papers for the 2012 meeting has now been issued and we have selected 19 workshops in the field of international relations, politics, economics, and social issues pertaining to the Gulf region. For a full list on the workshop, their description, further information about the meeting and the registration process, please go to the GRM website under: http://grm.grc.net/ The deadline for the Call for Papers is January 6, 2012. All successful paper applicants will receive a travel allowance to attend the meeting at the University of Cambridge.
